![]() So now I'm planning to return to IKEA, but again people are telling me to avoid it, and go to more expensive stores like Macy's or Bob's. ![]() I'm fine sleeping on too soft/too firm mattresses, I can sleep on anything, but immediate sagging is where I draw the line and have filed for a return. The sides sagged within 2 days, forcing my mattress into a very awkward A-shape that I haven't been able to fix via middle sleeping. Within the first week, I'm immediately very dissatisfied with it. ![]() I end up caving to peer pressure and bought a similar but slightly more expensive mattress from Mattress Firm, the Tulo 11" Hybrid. I find two models I like, the innerspring Haugesund and the hybrid Haugsvär, but everyone I know tells me I should avoid Ikea for mattresses, and that I should just buy a mattress on Amazon. I finally got my own place again and go back to IKEA to shop for a mattress, with the goal of getting a spring mattress like the one I had been sleeping on for the past 2 years. I experienced some of the best sleep I had in years on that thing, even my sleep apnea got better! Once I lost my home due to the pandemic, I moved back in with my parents and slept on a completely worn out (20> years old) innerspring twin mattress, complete with a dip in the middle, for two years. I slept on a medium firm Ikea Latex Myrbacka that was chosen for me by family for 5 years. I've slept on "just ok" mattresses for my entire life.
